This book is in reference to the biblical story of Cain and Abel; which is located in the book of Genesis chapter four. Cain and Abel are the first two sons of Adam and Eve who made sacrifices to God, in which God favored Abel's offering over Cain's. This made Cain very upset and God tells him to control his anger, but Cain ends up killing his brother. The Lord punishes him to wander the earth and Cain is in fear of being apart from God and God puts a mark on Cain so that no one harms him.
